Adriane Muttenthaler – leader of the jazz-sextett CRISS-CROSS – has always been in the habit of amateur drawing and painting. But now she has really turned to fine arts. For several years she has taken private lessons, attended work-shops (e.g. at Geras Convent) and also classes of the adult education program (VHS).

Adriane Muttenthaler enjoys the silence of painting as a counterbalance to her musical activities. Yet there are numerous parallels – expression, contrast, excitement, play with colours, dynamic, rhythm and accents.
The technics of Adriane Muttenthaler are manifold. She paints, uses spatula, pours paint, sprays and creates collages.
